Cool Facts about the Great Sand Dunes National Park? The Great Sand Dunes National Park is located 35 miles northeast of Alamosa, Colorado. These are the tallest dunes in North America. There are 30 square miles worth of dunes. The dunes are the result of the wind and rain eroding. It is a great place to play, be can get hot during the summer months.
The Stanley Hotel: This hotel is famous for its beautiful architecture and views. Famous people have stayed here. It has been featured as one of America's most haunted hotels.
